ABOUT THE COMPANY

Pickles from family-owned Lopez Island Pickle Co. are handmade by combining the freshest locally sourced ingredients, for a taste that captures the Pacific Northwest in a jar.

Lopez Island Pickle Co. promotes island farm partnerships and is a leader in the "locavore" movement. Ingredients are hand-selected for pickling, and come from only certified organic farm.

Kate is 27, and works as a digital marketing specialist at a startup tech company. She loves cooking in her free time and sharing food with friends. She also regularly hosts dinner parties, and shops at places like Whole Foods and PCC

Daniel is 33. His favorite thing to do on weekends is travel around Washington and walk/hike through nature. During the week, he works as a web developer. He's conscious about shopping local, and loves to try new restaurants around town.

CONCEPT

This line of products shifts the focus of "pickling" from salty, brine vegetables to a sweeter, fruity, specialty item that can be shared as a gift or special occasion treat.

The demographic will find these products intriguing because they live slightly outside their normal shopping list, but fit into their idea of an exciting new food.
