René Fashion New York
Timeless heritage brand with a classic Madison Avenue flagship in need of a fresh voice and stylish identity. René's clients include bold Upper East Side icons and a new set of east coast muses.
I worked with the founder & designer's daughter Sandra–previous Global Marketing Director at Ralph Lauren & Theory, currently at AERIN–to bring the vision of her mom's namesake brand to life.
SIGNATURE LOGO
The signature logo is adapted from the designer’s signature, used as a secondary illustrative element and for personal touches.
VISUAL CUES
The color palette is inspired by her mom’s favorite hues, and the type suite adds a sophisticated sharpness that the merchandise itself embodies.
COLLATERAL
I created a suite of ancillary print items for the store including business cards, hang tags, and shoppers to carry the brand home with clients.
Image curation was essential to establishing the brand's attitude and visual language due to the current lack of digital presence or visual assets. Covid-permitting, a custom photo shoot will be on the books.

WEBSITE
In collaboration with Sandra's merchandising skills, I designed the website to be a home base for all things René. The site will also offer clients a portal to request bespoke pieces from the designer.
René's Instagram feed will be a space for her clients to catch a glimpse into her creative process, keep up with new collections, and engage directly with the designer in a way they have never been able to before.
I designed templates and a sample grid she can use to create content and reference as a road map for styling her feed.
Acting as a diary and peek into the brand's mind, the label's email presence will remain minimal but thoughtful. The designer can share stories, updates, offers and inspiration with her clients by leveraging her already-existing customer base and reaching out to new muses.
