PROJECT SCOPE

An app that allows two people to save money for a vacation together without putting strain on their relationship. Stash tracks progress and visualizes data to facilitate financial responsibility and painless communication.

PRIMARY PAIN POINTS

  • It is difficult to keep each party accountable for contributing their share to a group savings goal.

  • There is a lack of flexibility for deadlines.

  • There is no option to contribute only a portion of expected amount at time of deposit.

  • Resources for goal-based finances are often dull, limited, and inaccessible for non-experienced savers.

  • Maintaining motivation and sustained excitement for savings is arduous with
    current apps.

DATA VISUALIZATION

A critical element to this project was ensuring that all finance-related data was simple and easy to interpret. To achieve this, I created a visual language of data and infographic information that helps make numbers simple.
